Nowadays, more and more people in society have realized the importance of quality education, however, students in primary schools and high schools are still complaining that they are overloaded with too much homework.
现在，社会上越来越多的人已经意识到素质教育的重要性，然而小学生和中学生却仍然在抱怨他们的作业负担过于沉重。
In many teachers eyes, homework offers a good method to strengthen the knowledge the students have obtained, yet they ignore the disadvantages that homework brings. For one thing, too much homework will take up all the spare time of students, leaving them unable to enjoy the rest of their lives; for another, too much homework will do great harm to students health, both physically and mentally.
在许多老师看来，家庭作业是一个很好地巩固学生知识的途径，然而，他们忽视了家庭作业所带来的负面影响。一方面，过多的家庭作业占据了学生全部业余时间，使她们无法享受学校生活；另一方面，过多的家庭作业大大损害了学生的身心健康。
It is high time that schools thought more about the function of homework and try to take practical measures to promote the all-round development of students.
现在应该是学校进一步考虑家庭作业的作用并采取切实措施去提高学生全方位发展的时候了。
There are many arguments about the advantages and disadvantages of examinations. Some people think that examinations can help them review the lessons regularly, while others maintain that too many examinations have frustrated them.
对于考试的益处和弊端存在着许多争论。一些人认为考试能够帮助他们定期地复习功课，然而，还有一些人认为太多的'考试使得他们心灰意冷。
To me, I think an examination is a good thing for both teachers and students. Teachers can find out how much the students have grasped and then improve their teaching; students, on the other hand, will learn what their weak points are and then study even harder.
对于我来说，我认为考试对于老师和学生都是一个很好的途径。老师能够发现学生的掌握程度从而改善他们的教学，学生则可以知道他们的弱点从而更加努力地学习。
All in all, we should not waste time arguing whether examinations are good or not. What we should do is to try to improve the exam system and try to adjust it to our different requirements.
总而言之，我们不必浪费时间去争论考试到底是好是坏，我们所应该做的是努力去改善考试制度使得它不断适应我们的各种要求。
